SMPP - Short message peer-to-peer protocol

A part of the GSM protocal is sending FLASH messages. FLASH messages is an message type, where it open it self on the mobile phone and on most phones, it is not able to store a FLASH messages

In that way, FLASH messages is being use of many, to sent data like passwords for end user.

But be carefull about using FLASH messages, not all users know what it is and don't understand that the messages is gone and not stored on the mobilephone.

Hopefully, the following provides a clear and easy-to-understand guide on how to construct FLASH messages!

When using SMPP for WAP push, you shall remember to set the following to fields:

This settings will make you able to sent FLASH messages in AI5 format
Data coding = 240
Esm class = 0

This settings will make you able to sent FLASH messages in UCS2 format
(This is NO standard and don't expect that it works on every mobilephone and SMPP servers)
